Hello, poker fans
What do you think is the best learning source for a newbie? A book? Some internet-site? Anything you can come up with.
I've heard much good about Ed Miller's book "Getting started in Hold'em", some saying it's excellent and such. And some say the tactics in his book isn't viable any more ?
Thanks in advance![]()
I've only posted on this site a few times so am not allowed to post links (for good reason SPAM!!!) but i'd reccommed typing poker strategy into you're prefered search engine and just read around. There are many very good guides online and some bad ones too, but if you read enough you'll get a good idea of how to be a resonably good beginner player.
I taught myself to play by reading, reading and more reading combined with playing for play money on one of the top online poker sites. Then moving slowly up from very low stakes to big $ games. Many sites will let you practice play, that way your not risking any money, but be warned people play alot differently when there's not money involved its just a good way of practicing poker math and stuff.
In short reading, reading, reading and practice, practice, practice!!! Worked for me![]()
cheers for the tip![]()
