GUKPT - Anyone had any luck online ?

Has anyone here entered and got anywhere in the online free rolls for the GUKPT ?

I am new to poker really but getting to be a big fan and not doing too bad online.

Just curious if anyone here has been in the landbased tournament and if they qualified online ?

Comparing online and landbased casino, I am more lucky when playing online. I am not a compulsive gambler like others. As compared to landbased you can control your money whether you bet high or low. You are playing with different individuals with different level of expertise, if you don't their gaming style and you bet high, you may end up losing. So, good advice, gain too much knowledge online, sooner, if you think you're too confident enough with your skills, play with the pros. Well experienced thus counts.

I only can count in the fingers the time I played land based poker. I enjoy online poker for it keeps me anonymous, no staring eyes, mean looks or fist shaking. Also online poker rooms usually have bigger selection of games than land based ones and also offer better opportunities to learn the game without you feeling uncomfortable.

I do ok at online poker, i first started playing about five years ago around the local circuits, i was doing ok but was never good around strangers. I was introduced to online poker by a friend i had never known had played before, this was the advantage player holdem on the internet. You could be safe, alone and more importantly, out of character.

When i mean out of character, when you sit at a table next to the faces who know you well, there are certain signals a boys grandma would'nt even spot, yet the guy with the double brandy will see right through you. I guess what i'm trying to say, is that the internet can make things very easy when it comes to hiding your give away personality.

In answer to your question, yes, i've had some luck on the internet, but i prefer the word control.

When i stick to sit and go satalites and small hundred men ring games, i can do really well, because i follow my own routine, stick with what i know and lay down certain hands in certain positions, i'll even throw down aces on the outer bubble, because i know the inner bubble is more important.

However when i rise above my bankroll, lose my format, chase dreams, i tend to lose everthing.

Yes my friend, luck is available on the internet by the bucket load, but knowing how to hold the bucket, requires self control and absolute routine.

Oh one other thing, why do i play on line, because you can see 14 more hands in every 10 minutes of play than you can in an offline real world game, and hands are experience, and in poker, experience is everything.
