I am a big fan of OPR but FullTilt have banned it and its information, this is a big mistake and infringment of our rights.
Below is a copy of my letter of complaint I sent if you wish to use it or modify it please do, but above all send something and complain if you value freedom of poker information, they have no right to do this to the commited poker community. Official Poker Rankings Ban FullTilt Stats ---------------------- Dear FullTilt, I have noticed that all available statistics on Official Poker Rankings have been banned, as a fan of OPR to view my game I find this a serious issue as the 'obviously' fair data site enables me to track my game and how I am doing per month and in comparison to other players, making clear my long term ability. Without this tool I am unable to know what my win rate is, how i am performing or if I am a winner or loser at the game, basically making me play in the poker arena blind to my own abilities. I find this totalitarian stance of withholding information unacceptable and would advise you to rethink your stance on this and let OPR continue to allow statistics to be made available. Banning the availability of stats at OPR 'Official Poker Rankings' is a serious mistake as this is a very important tool to track how my game and others are improving or declining, as serious poker players we need this available to us all. You have got this wrong. As an evolving poker player OPR should be reinstated immediately as information as such as this is used by intelligent committed poker players, taking this away only serves as a disservice to the poker community and the rights of individuals to information. OPR is a fair service to the poker community, taking this away only serves to make you look unprofessional, out of touch and I consider this and insult to the people who use FullTilt. I enjoy using Fulltilt as a quality poker gaming site and I do not wish to be forced to reconsider using an alternative site through this petty issue, I hope you will reconsider your views on this and let OPR function as normal. Regards A very annoyed FullTilt regular player. |

Hi Ladies, long time no forum speak.
imo I think they are good as they give you an idea of the level of play of some opponents at obviously important strategic times. personally helps me paint a good picture of my foe. Had a reply off FT... --------------------------------------------- Hello xxxxx, Thank you for contacting Full Tilt Poker Support. We are currently working with all of our affiliates to ensure their business practices are consistent with our goal of providing the best online poker experience. In particular, we are ensuring they adhere to our very high standards of game integrity and do not support the use of prohibited or restricted software. Official Poker Rankings provides a great service to its customers, and as poker players ourselves, we fully appreciate the value of the information they provide. Unfortunately, some of the information currently available may allow players to obtain an unfair advantage at the tables. We are currently in communication with Official Poker Rankings to establish a set of guidelines that is in the mutual interest of all parties, including our valued players. We hope to have the matter resolved as soon as possible and appreciate your patience in the meantime. If you have any other questions, please feel free to contact us. We're always here to help. ---------------------------------------- Don't this reply deter any one taking their own action. |

I think they would have LOL'd long and hard at your "I want to check my win rate" argument.
Its very easy set up a spreadsheet to track the stats you are after. I can send you one if its a problem. I agree that OPR (and sharkscope) can give an unfair advantage. I'm just amazed that stars haven't banned it, like they have with sharkscope. |

If you want to use it only to track your own progress, you could get PokerTracker or something similar?

OPR gives some players an advantage over others which is why Saint likes and full tilt doesn't. Although i'm actually kinda surprised they care.
