sick but wtf is with the aa limp?
Trouble follows this bag of bones
pretty obvious, at 3e turbo, someone always raises in front of you (as in the above example)
Today, I have mostly been : ...
You are never sure that someone will raise.. never limp AA. Never limp first in a pot with anything actually.
It would have been a worse beat if you got your money in on that flop.
Exactly, you dont want multiple opponents, but when you are 90% sure of a raise behind you then the reraise is the best way to get the ££ PF AND isolate 1 player for the hand.
NB all forum people, when I limp utg in the value added game next tuesday just remember that I probably have aces![]()

limping utg in a turbo is good play, obv you don't do it everytime, but with 3 minute blinds someone will raise nearly every hand. When you come over the top, alot of ppl will shove, their range is way wider in a 3e turbo. You get them shoving with Q10 suited, K10, KJ etc, even when the blinds are still 10/20.
it would get no action from me it smacks of big pp

UTG limp AA in bonkers/turbo microStakes........ +++ev IMHO
"That's a typical shabby Nazi trick, Wilson"
Agree although tbh in a 3e turbo you could just open shove it and some berk is gunna call with a sooooooooooted K or somert lol.

its all about boosting the pot surely. Whilst you may get called if you shove, chances are you won't be - and if you are its just a heads up situation. Limping and re-raising may mean you get a few other stragglers money calling the first raise before you push.
I've found that even at micro-stakes, a big raise kills action mostly (unless someone has a premium hand), so slow-playing initially with the intention of drawing someone into a raising war is often the best strategy. Of course, if no-one raises then you face being outdrawn, but thats life...
