2nd hand, live tourney, 4000 starting chips, 50/100 blinds. im in the big blind with a2. 5 limpers, i check. flop comes down a 2 9 rainbow. i check, guy to my left bets 400, gets a call, i raise to a 1000, guy to my left is all-in. do i call? no info on him, he seen me play ionce before when i was +++ drunk and playing like a donk ( following an all day bender on st. patricks day and lured into casino with the promise of a free breakfast). its a semi-freezeout too.
Id call and hope he doesnt have top 2. Also I think you should be raising bigger than 1000. Youve got 600 in the pot after the 5 limpers +you. Betting 400 is standard, then a call, so thats 1400 now. You raise to 1k and now you got 2400 in the pot and hes only gotta call 600 to get that 2400. Id probably raise to at least 1500.
Like I say though - Im still calling with A2. Limping with 99 is unlikely, and A9 would just be plain unlucky.
I'd say you are good here cos a live tourney which starts with 40bb is not going to attract many good players.
We haz two pair and 40BB's....I iz awwwww in.

Yeah probably an all-in call here but I wouldn't be surprised if he had hit trips with a mid-pair - hence the pre-flop limp followed by a call to your raise. That said, if you were there for a night out and you wanted to go deeper I could understand a fold early doors.
i called he had a9 and i was out 2nd hand. tilted away my rebuy as well. o well made i tall back an more on roulette, but wanted to see what others would have done. does my (percieved) image of myself to him from the one time hes seen me play affect my decision?
