Some Gripes about Poker.co.uk software

Until this week I hadn't played on Poker.co.uk (or anywhere online) for about 6 months so I didn't participate in the various threads about problems and updates to the software. So anyway, I have noticed a few things wrong with it, things that are definitely new problems and not old ones.
I'm on a boat! I'm on a boat! Everybody look at me 'cos I'm sailing on a boat!
1. You can't reload on a table to the full amount. Say you're on a 5c/10c NL table and you want to reload to $10, it doesn't work. You can go to the cashier at the bottom left or the chip tray at the top, and press to reload to $10, but come next hand you have the same amount you had before. So I've started loading up to 9.99 because you can get that. But it's annoying to type in, especially if you're trying to re-load quickly before the next hand.

2. This one is really annoying, especially if you like check-raising in limit games like me. Quite often morons CB every street so the turn-check-raise is good value. So you check the turn and then select the box "raise any" to insta-2-bet. But if the guy checks then you end up insta-betting out on the river instead, which looks weird, can definitely be the wrong play and gives away that you were going to check-raise the turn. This is a big hole IMO.

3. Quite often I'm scrolling down the list of cash tables, or STTs or MTTs, and the scroller thing keeps going back up to the top of the screen. it doesn't always do this but when it does it's annoying because you only get about 1 second to look at stuff that's not at the top before it shoots right back up there.

4. I can't scroll over people's names and see where they're from any more, which is irritating because I base how I play people on where they come from a fair amount. Now you have to go to the lobby and look at your table from there to see where players are from.

5. Also, another suggestion. This will probably never be supported by most people as I don't think it's done on any poker site. When morons start abusing the chat I'd like the option of muting them and them being told that I've muted them. Otherwise they never actually know that they're being ignored. If you tell them you're muting them then they probably assume that you really haven't as you're curious about their response to that. I don't want them to have the satisfaction of thinking they're still being listened to, so IMO have a "Dice Man is ignoring you" excommunication option.
Never thought I'd see the day when a big boat coming my way.
6. Also WTF is the point of the cash tables having nationalities? There are flags next to each one, but I can't see as to how they make any difference. Some of the British ones are in Euros and I see people from all over the place playing at all the tables.

I'd like to add a couple, i often play the €100GTD 7CS tourney, and a couple of things are bugging me (bear in mind the tourney usually starts with 15-20 players, 8 max tables):

1) When the tourney starts with 16 players, it doesn't have two tables of 8, but 2 tables of 6 and 1 of 4. When someone busts out they then move to one table of 8 and one of 7. If the tourney starts with more than 16 players, when the number reaches 16 it goes to 2 tables of 8. Random!?!

2) Much more annoyingly, whenever the number of players reaches 17 or 9 (i.e. one before the number of tables will be reduced) the tourney goes into hand-for-hand sync mode. Considering only the top 3 positions pay, this is completely unnecessary. If the tourney starts with 17 player (which it quite often does), we have 30-40 minutes of hand-for-hand mode until the first player goes out. In limit games it takes ages for the first player to go out! Waiting for 1-2mins between hands is really frustrating at the start of the tourney, particularly when blinds go up so quickly, and i like to splash around quite a bit in the early, cheap stages. WTF is that all about?!?!

These are the 2 which bug me the most to be honest.

Scrolling through the tables only to get back to the top just hacks me off to the max. I know you have to scroll down click on a table then scroll down more. arghghgghghg WTF do they not have software testers.

Also i base all my decisions the same as you Dice. I rely on finding out on where the player is from. But this is now an option for the player and they can choose to not show it from the profile page. Some decide to show it and others do not.

I still just search for them and just add their location to my notes. Now when i decide to open shove a hand i click on my notes to make sure they are not french!!

Very good points Dice.

I have too noticed if i use the check/call or check/fold any in O8 and they check in pos i insta check the next street. I very rarely used the insta buttons anyway(sometimes handy if multi-ing), I now never use them.

Agree with walty, the location thing is by far the most annoying one at the moment for me as I have learnt to live with the other problems but this is new. Having to search everyone is a major pain in the ass but is majorly important. This simply must be changed back. I foolishly didnt search a player yesterday in a mtt on the bubble. Turned out he was greek and was never folding his naked oesd oop.........


Couple more:

1. MTTs, the addon period should be the full 5 minute break and not a 10 second window of time.

2. Speach bubbles shouldnt hide peoples stack size . This is nightmare in MTTs and the bb is chatting away in mutant-tongue.

Good points dice, the cash table reload thing is very weird.

Richghost, u can turn the speech bubbles off.

I have had trouble with the player notes as well, u can merrily type away, but not actually see what you are typing !

point 3 is def the most annoying, blink and its gone. the more filter option u use the less it does this.
option 5 muting. great option especially in the forum game
most other sites have a english only for the chat. is this the policy on pcuk and if so y is it not enforced?

Points 3 and 4 are very valid, don't quite understand with the others, but get the gist.
And also agree with RG on add-on comment, you should be able to add on all the way through the break, surely?

I would also like to see what the other player had in cash games, if I am lucky enough to beat them if we're both all in too!

I was about to reload and play some mtt's but soley becuase of this annoying flaw i am going to have to play else where!! It is realllllllllly bad and has sent me on tilt even before i play
