Far be it for me to put my legal head on, but Dice cant lose this one - even if coins and notes [if that is your definition of money] are not used the money will still be there (we have coins from ~2000 years ago in museums)

Today, I have mostly been : ...
I can't really imagine people without capitalism, unless you think there won't be any people. As long as there is competition between people there will be capitalism. To eliminate competition either we'd have to all be dead or all living in some infinite Heaven, or you'd have to genetically modify people so that they don't desire happiness, or they only desire a finite amount of it. I don't see any of that happening in the next 30 years. It's more likely that people will be genetically modified to be create a bigger range of human fitness. That even started last week with that non-breast cancer baby.
I think the only thing that will change in the next 30 years, will be that Americans will get fatter.
There will still be money, there will still be cheesecakes (if not i will cry). And more than likely, we will even be in yet another recession. The only difference with the value of money, is that you need more money to buy the same things. But thats how life goes. As little as 5 years ago, there was these amazing things called penny sweets, now, no matter how hard i look, i can't find any cola bottles for less than 2p each. I mean, what has this world come to when penny sweets are no longer actually a penny?
40 years ago I used to buy 4 black jacks for 1d, this was when i got sixpence '6d', (thats 2.5 new pence) a week for my pocket money. Sometimes i would get 2 frup'ny bits, weeee... My kids get well pissed off if i mention this over dinner... roflmao
Recession? Of course it is. I'd be amazed if we don't see a MAJOR correction in the general standard of living across Britain in particular, but Europe in general, over the next 10 years. And by a major correction, I mean an end to semi-literate 23 year-old trainee estate agents buying brand new A3 convertibles and 200in plasma TV's on their credit cards. It's becoming pretty clear (Bernie Madoff) that none of the "money" used to buy stuff like that ever actually existed.
