When I said Vagas no doubt, the logic is...

a) cash in the money - pointless as the wife would take it
or
b) go to vagas - tell wife it was vagas or lose the money so shes happy to go to on holiday and if I win $9m there is no way she could blow that sort of dosh so I might get some.

Cash it and play more step sats ftw. Then cash those in too. Repeat ad infinitum. Dont waste 10k on a 5000+ runner MTT unless youre super rolled.

In a way it would be better if you had to take the seat then you would have to play it (obv) and it would be cool to play it having only invested -$100 or whatever. But no matter how many sats you ship you still have to withdraw 10k from your account and walk up to the desk and hand it over. I just couldnt.

Rather enter 4 x 1500 events with smaller fields as raiser said.

but then you could never say you played in the World Series of Poker main event....

that would be the killer for me I think.

Its a tough one though. Perhaps I would fly to Vegas with the $10k, and enter a few $1k satellites at the event to try and qualify there and then. Having said that, I guess then you wouldn't qualify for all the Pokerstars goodies (hotel, meals, spending, bonuses etc).

I would cash the 10k purely because I would benifit from it more right now in my life. I would only play the event a nervous wreck. You need to be a lbc to win that thing anyway so I would have to wait till the moons are aligned and my lock box is on full power

Always next year if you can sat into it once you can do it again IMO
