No it frigging isn't!
How irritating is this message? The software crashes perhaps once every 20 hours of playing (it isnt just due to the shitty 3rd world computers, it also happens in the UK) and when I try and reload it I often get this message. It's appearing for me right now after two of my three SnGs froze and the lobby stopped responding forcing me to kill the application.
At home I just reboot and wait a bit - but I can't reboot this computer for various reasons. I've got someone to log into my acct and play - though he has never played Omaha before. Mind you, the games are so loose you can probably blind into 2nd place.
Anyhow, I needed a rant and here it is.
An update for anyone that cares:
One of the games was over by the time my friend logged in. It was the big-stakes game of the 3 (it was a 5e short-handed PLO SnG and the others were 2e). Sharkscope tells me I cashed for 7.50e in second. My friend also managed a 2nd in one of the others for 3e so I'm up around one euro.
I'm such a high-roller Matt should have a special promotion just for me.
Incidentally, I think I'm going to do an experiment - I'll run 10 2e PLO SnGs and blind down in all of them and see what my return is.
If you can not restart the machine check the task manager and see if poker.exe is still running if so just kill it and wait about 5 minutes before logging on again
It's happened again! I had 4 SnGs running and was registered in a few more. I know when you quit the software then you are deregistered, but does this apply when the software crashes and your computer thinks it is still running? One of the games was shorthanded and I took out 2 people in the first hand and I knocked out the bubble boy on hand 8. That means I have 200bb and the guy is pinching them one by one.
This aspect of boss really pisses me off.
Nope, it let me back on after around 40 minutes though, which was too late. I still ended up having a winning day though. That doesnt sound much but given my recent form where Ive donked 2/3rds of my bankroll it makes me happy.
I did kill the app in task manager. Poker.exe was still left running and so I slaughtered that as well. I even did a reinstall and that didnt stop the 'client is still running' message. Perhaps a reboot would have sorted it out, but being in a net cafe that isnt really possible for me.
Have you had a chance to see which applications need killing?
