any of you guys play the heads up games i usualy play to get off tilt just find people play ott defensive on there or just over bluff to much just played a euro 20 and was over in three hands he/she was just raising on everything
any recomendations to best method of playing heads up
I think most Heads up poker games are pretty much crapshoots, so I tend to play accordingly. Reducing my starting hands considerably, folding any complete rags, making the opponent pay to see any flop for marginal hands and pushing aggresively on anything better-than-marginal. Likewise, any post-flop action that hasn't connected with my cards solidly I fold rather than risk everything on a drawing hand. I never bluff in them unless mega short-stacked and need to survive the blinds.
But then again I know absolutely nothing about heads-up strategy. This is just the way I play when in that situation, and it seems to work for me.
No doubt, someone will tell me I am being too fish-like but hey![]()
Totally agree - to me its less tactics and more gambling.
Then again when in tournament you will have to play heads up eventually so it does give good practise. My strategy depends entirely on how many chips i enter heads up with - more chips, more aggression - not rocket science but hey ho.
Fundermental strategy to Heads up is 'you should play really lose on the button/small blind and really tight out the big blind'
most people i ask say play it by oponent
..any of you fance a game HU![]()
