Why play his game?
1. Sit down at table, guy goes all in 3 times in first 4 hands. 5th hand you have AQ suited mid table with no prior raises so raise 5x BB, he goes all in and you know he has nothing so you call.
He then beats you with Q7 off suit.
Out of tournament 113 / 118.
Played it perfectly, knew he had nothing, proved he had nothing.
Yeah i know zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz but had to get off my chest.
Guess lesson is that he was big stack and it didnt matter if he only was there through stupidity.

Dumb Ass
Yep you are 100% right
On reflection even though I knew my hand was going to be better (in this case a lot better) I should have folded - but then what do i wait for AA KK?
Guess the answer is to ignore him and wait till he gets knocked out or moves table.
Could be worse could have been playing with my own cash
It is annoying when this happens but long-term you are going to beat these guys who push with nothing.
You know that old saying about the table donk. (you knew it was him.) Use that as your first step. Next step, Take advice from players on this forum, Most of them dont talk out of there ass ( you know who you are ) Step three, Iinterpret what they say to your style of play , Dont change if its not broke just tweek it
o, p.s. Ace q is piss weak most of the time ( Rich will tell you to bin em ) 80% of the time hes right

Appreciate the advice.
Like you say its one step at a time and trying to put things into practise.
Think the biggest step so far has been cutting the amount of hands i used to play by at least half, that alone seems to have given me more success.
Now need to stop trying to compete with the all in fish and start eating some of their cash.
Agree totally about this forum - one of the best learning tools going.
Have you tried the 150euro forum freeroll on tuesdays. 20 posts is all you need to qfy That will give you a guide to how far you have come ( better players )

Wasnt able to this week but will def give it a go next Tuesday.
Im guessing that with better players a lot of the randomness is taken out of the games - ie dont get the all ins on the first hand type play that you see in normal freerolls.
That in itself should improve my play.
Just seen my label has moved from beginner to member - lol prob a bit too soon.
WAT
I'm one of those people who raises every hand, usually in freerolls because I like to annoy people. Rod's advice doesn't really apply IMO. How can you not play the game of the guy who's going all in every hand? What range of hands are you willing to play against a serial all-inner? Folding AQs is pretty insane IMO. How is AQs "piss weak"? Pokerstove reckons it to be the 9th best hand pre-flop. This thread and everybody in it suck really hard.

vs Serial Inners i wait till I get a Pocket Pair and then I ship. Usually they have 1 or no overcards and youre in much better shape than AQ vs 63 for a 65 / 35 split.
