I'm not into technical percentages e.t.c as that just confuses me...
Basically I want to know how to calculate a split pot if someone is all in and everyone else still in the game keep betting...
Let's give an example...
There are 3 people left in the game:
Rod
Tod
Bob
Rod has 100 chips
Tod has 100 chips
Bob has 50 chips
Rod has King (Club), 9 (Club)
Tod has King (Spade), 8 (Heart)
Bob has Queen, Jack (Diamonds)
On the table is 10 (Diamond), 8 (Spade), 9 (Diamond), 8 (Diamond) and Ace (Heart)
After the 'Flop' Rod raised the bets to 40 Chips. Tod calls and Raises 10 making the bets 50 Chips, Bob calls and goes all-in.
After Bob goes all-in Rod and Tod continue betting between the two of them during the Turn and River.
Now as far as the winning hand goes Bob has a straight flush, Tod 3 of a kind with 8's and Rod has Pair of nines...
This is how I would play it...
Now as Bob went all-in after the flop those chips and the chips from the previous bets go into a different pot to Rod and Tod's betting after Bob went all-in. As Bob had the highest hand he wins the first pot from when he went all-in and before that, and as Tod got the higher hand than Rod he wins the remainder...
Is that the correct way of doing this... If not how do I work it out?
Also say for example Tod and Bob had the same hand e.g. Pair of 2's with a queen kicker and the same situation (bob is all in and Tod and Rod kept betting) who get's what?
Thanks in advance
Karl
Ok Bob has the best hand, the straight flush to the Queen, so he gets from the pot 150 chips, he only put 50 in, so he can only WIN 50 from the other 2 players.
Then because Rod and Tod put the same amount into the pot to reach the river and a call and showdown, Tod with his trip 8's will get the rest.
----
If there was a split pot in that between Tod and Bob, the 150 chip pot that Bob was elligible for would be split 50/50 between him and Tod, so 75 chips to Bob and 75 to Tod. Then the remainder would all go to Tod since he beat Rod, and that was who that pot was between, since Bob had already been all in.
Hope that helps.![]()
Very very poor reasoning. Just beacuse they didnt like it doesnt mean you had to lock it.
Going along those lines that means everytime revstu posts in a thread it should be locked right? cause everyone disagrees with him?
You need to learn this modding stuff.
