    I'll be playing in it.

Quite a few of the members on the meetup site (which Matt linked to) are also playing in it. I'm looking forward to it.

Nope not doing this. Seems a little crapshooty for my liking.

Good luck to those who play though

well well well what a day.

first may i say what a crap structure, awful organisation from the guys at the bristol grov.
looked on board at one point and there were supposedly 7 tables with 74 players total!? hmm oh and in 2 mins it went from 70 players to 45.

they didnt know when or what tables to break and started breaking tables with 8 leaving tables of 6 players??!? all because they wanted to open the restuarant....oh and they were shitty portable tables.

good side i got drawn next to the rather drunk mr dale n had a cracking laugh till they finally split our table up. tbh didnt do much, only noticeable hand was me folding my qq preflop in 2nd level to a re-re-raise.

when they broke our table i ended up with rodbuck, nice to meet him, had AQ V AJ with him, eeek cheers buddy!

finally went out with AK V TT, i didnt improve, but with only 10k in chips and the blinds at 800/1600 didnt really have any room to play.
Finished 28/96, so not a bad day.

decided to play in the £10 FO at the gala afterwards, which was a fish fest but albeit something to do. Had QQ three times in first 6 hands only to see 2 flops with A K x....lovely.
Amassed some chips till a very drunk Mr Dale arrived at my table, going all in pretty much every hand. hmmm boo him. the only hand he didnt go all in pre flop he got outplayed by some old irish geezer who made Matt fold K3 on a K 9 T board, the irish guy shows K2!!!hahaha

well dales frequent moves meant i didnt play anything as picked up shit and went down from 6k to 3k due to blinds!!

that table broken and down ot final 30 i pick up 88 back to back and then push with JJ to be called by KTd

flop shows a king and i finish 28/101....grrr 28th again.

    that is gay.
all in all a good craic mind....and found out mr buckman used to work for P4u?! thats where i work! small world eh.
till next time......oh and Matt thank u for tellin me and rookie that u edited by Matt - use your imagination p.s. Shooter, we gotta play some pool in my office!

Aye, was good to meet you to.

Agree with all the above regarding organisation of event but i think its due to them only having 20/30 runners to their normal game, and only 1 person in the casino able to run the game.

The worst thing of all for me was the "brand new" dealer on our table for the first 4 levels. We were getting 8 hands per level (25 mins) as he was learning to shuffle, and he was giving the wrong chips / change to people. Funniest moment was when 2 people were in the pot and he turned all the mucked cards over and left them sitting there for all to see. Very funny.

When I left there were 26 left and we had Judi, Alex, Steve and Robyn still in.

    Crapshoot ahoy.
