As mentioned, everybody has more at stake in a live game, particularly a freezeout tournament. Even if the stakes mean nothing to them, they've had to come out and make a night of it. Obviously you can read players live better, but I think quite importantly, you're more likely to read a guy who goes all in with 33 on a TJQ all spade flop with no spades in his hand live than you can online. If it's online then that play looks exactly like a strong hand. At least live the guy will be foaming from the mouth or really visibly drunk. Or you can even ask the guy why he did it and get some rationalization for it that'll come in useful later.
