The €50 cooler challenge

Ok well i have been speaking to Richghost about this and after a bit of practice i am going to try this.

Basically the aim is to play around 10 - 15 a day of these and come out with some profit. Obviously the way to make profit is to cash in 60% of these which IMO should not be hard to do.

Now i will update this thread as i go along and you can slate or encourage all you like. I want to see now that if personally you can make a living off these. I deposited on PUK yesterday and will play the coolers only on that site. The mtts i will play under the 'normaled' username as i am currently top of the celeb poker league and i want to win it in my 1st month of playing. However i am running like a one legged cat at the moment in those. But fingers crossed i will ship it.

Anyway i had my first session Saturday (yesterday). I only managed 5 games as i had plenty to do with it being a Saturday and stuff. Not only that i had visitors and i felt a bit rude talking to them while grinding out a cooler.

So the stats are :

Session games played : 5 (€275)
Cashed : 4 (€400)

Profit €125

My first thoughts are that it maybe a struggle to try and play 10 of these a day as the traffic for the €50s are not as high as i first thought. But then again this was the afternoon so maybe they will pick up in the evening. Anyway with it being Sunday and me not having much to do i will try and play as many as possible. If i get 20 in that will be awesome as i can make up for the shortfall for yesterday. However this is a marathon not a sprint.

My main issue with these are the fact that they can be so boring. I treated myself to a few DVD box sets as well so i guess i can have those on in the background while i play. These games dont require too much concentration so i am not overly worried about taking notes on players.

Right its 4:15am and i need sleep.

OOO on a side note i also forgot to mention the awesome rake back i get as well but i will not include those figures in my overall until the end of the month. These will be easy to calculate as like i said these will be the ONLY games i will be playing on PUK. No cash and no mtts. Not only that the rake will be pretty fat as €50 a day rake equates to €350 a week!!! damn robbing bastards

Anyway who knows i might even go bust!! LOL

I like the idea of one account for coolers and one for the rest. I will also be doing this.

I think anything from 60-80% cash rate is doable imo. The worst that will happen with these is you will break even after 100 games. But i doubt this very much.

I think I'm currently down on coolers at the moment. I haven't worked out what the idiots who play them think is the best strategy close to the bubble. Whatever it is, it isn't the best strategy.

Decided to have my catch up session and well i got side tracked by the sun and the pub quiz.

Session games played 8 (€440)
Session cashed 4 (€400)

Loss €40

Did not do too well Sunday as had 2 sick beats, 1 i shoved AK into AA (standard) and the other i just played like a spaz shoved 23 into AA.

i started off well on sit and goes turned 15 quid into 260 odd dollars but have since lost it all lol

but you do get idiots in them after some of the hands ive seen i dont quite know what people are actually thinking

Don`t tell me that 23 actually lost to AA?
Never does that when I have the AA.

Yeah cant believe i did not beat AA. How sick?

Anyway 10 of these a day along with playing the 6k is a goer. Only managed 9 this session though as shopping, visa applications and flight searching took over, also me trying (and failing) to get some booty over!! LOL

So overall thoughts on this so far appears like i can get this 60% win rate. However i have not had any massive winning or losing streaks. It appears that i win 2 then lose 1. What i am hoping for is now that i can really get going and have a big winning session to make this worth my while. But €190 profit is still ok i am guessing i just need to get more games in!!!!

What i have learnt so far. To make this work i actually need to pull my finger out and ship it!!

Also think i need to win the 6k again as its missing me and i want more points for the league

well i started this and am aiming to do 50x3euro and 50x5euro, with the odd 20euro thrown in for good measure........
well won my first 3euro and 5 euro ones only to hit a 8 game losing streak inclu one 20euro!!! which i placed 6th! grrrr AK lost to AQ hmmmm

currently 40 euros down which is great!! will take a load to get it back at 3/5euros
maybe just need a run on the 20's!

oh and not once have i put my money in behind!!! boo hoo boo

but as of august the first s4ooter will be back on BOSS fully, bar the occasionaly Apat event on BSQ, watch out for my chips flyin your way
