I've slowly built up a decent roll playing STTs and am now bored with them.
I've started playing a bit of 50 NL cash and have made a reasonable start. I was wondering...
1. How many hands do I need to play to get a decent idea of how well I'm doing
2. What is considered a decent win rate? (is it measured in BB/100 hands or BB/hour....I dont know)
thanks
1) at least 15k, more like 150k tho
2) ptbb/100 - more than 0 is good, better than 5 is awesome.
Walking away is easy. The hard part is standing up.
thanks woody
what does the PT in PTBB stand for?
PTBB = 2 * BB, cause PTBB is a 'big bet' (ie twice the big blind) where as NL players refer to the BB as big blind as there is no big bet. The PT part means "poker tracker".

Which site you playing on? And Full ring or 6-max? Purely out of interest.

lol there are many many softer opponents than you. I remember a couple of hands from the vegas satellite in Birmingham i played with you (one in which i have AA on a drawy board, you shove over my check/raise and i eventually fold) which mind fucked me. Was thinking about that one for weeks.

LOL, I remember that one. definitely underestimated you there. Put you on a big hand and most players I know would stack off there.
I'm playing cash 8 handed on ipoker (bonus whoring). I would play full ring but too many people on this forum say that 6 handed is the only way to go. 8 handed seems a compromise between the two
