Default What do Poker players like? Ultimate freebie to join a new Poker site!

Hi guys, I'm actually not much of a Poker player myself..always lose haha but I came to this forum as like 90% of the people on this forum are those that I am targeting for a kind of business idea of mine so wanted to see what your thoughts and feedback are.

Ok so I'm working with a new Poker company - it's a pretty good one, got some big names to help us and I'm thinking of a way to promote it with an idea.

So I'm thinking of a contest idea like - The first 69 people who sign up will get enetered into a draw for a PRIZE OF..duh duh duh

If it is London based that would be best - I was thinking something on the lines of a fully paid weekend stay in a top London hotel?

A photoshoot with one of the models we use? -

Can you guys help me out as Poker players, if you could win a prize, what would it be or what would interest you or entice to sign up to a new Poker Site in order to get with this "prize"

"Obviously you would only sign up to the Poker Site if it seemed good and interesting and good offers but disregard that for now, right now I am trying to think of ideas of where I could give away something that is really aimed at the Poker market or something like mentioned, people would get enticed by.

Thanks!

Haha that was a joke right Tyler?

--

Hey Million...Free Entry to a big tourny sounds pretty cool. But preferably it would have to be a tourny in London coz then if I did it somewhere else, they would probably expect me to pay for flight etc also which I wouldn't want to.

My max budget...I guess is $500 on a prize..do you think that is reasonable?

Indeed it was a joke. Was hoping it would come up as the actual website url... Think a tournament entry is a nice idea for a prize... But $500.... I dont think a weekend in a hotel is worth doing.

How about entry to a high stakes tournament in the Victoria Casino in London? The Vic's a lovely little place, London based, and you could go up to perhaps $400 (ish) on the tourney entry and put the rest as Travel Money?

Is that the one on Edgeware Road?

How does Tourny entry work? It's just like a ticket right?

To be honest im not entirely sure, Ive not played Live before in a Casino. But I'm sure if you phoned them up and said you wanted to give away a Tournament Entry as a prize for something they might be able to help.

Failing that you could just tell people you will enter them into 400$ of Tournaments at X Casino in London?

(And Yes its the one on Edgware Road)

Cool thanks Tyler -

I just realized I wrote $$$ not £

So in actual fact my budget is £500 which is $1000

What do you think is better, or what would entice you to sign up with an online poker site -

Like after 69 signups...69 is my target amount...So the first 69 who sign up also get entered into a draw to win free entry to a tournament or I give free entry to 3 people

When you say $400 you mean...Free entry to a tournament with 400 to play with right?

Thats actually a good idea.

Buy them PokerTracker or PokerOffice or whatevers best, the 3 Harrington Books, a Poker Mag Subscription for 10 issues say, and a tourney entry on whatever the site youre working with is? With $500 as your roll you should be able to cover all of that and that'd be a great package. Id enter that.
