Although the last one is probably the worst IMO, I voted for TexasLimitKing due to sheer comedy value. The man's a genius.

OK right. This is both a poll thread and a discussion thread. Here are 4 very sick hands and I want to know which is the sickest. I also want you to post other excrutiatingly sick hands, especially if they are better than any of these.
The first hand is featured over on the Bristol meetup website but I thought I'd include it here too, as a candidate for sickest hand ever played.
This is Limit Stud 8 in a £10 HORSE tournament (note: IMO degree of sickness has nothing to do with degree of money at stake IMO). The action went a bit like this.
6-handed, everybody posts 25 antes. Average stack is 6k so we are DEEP.

Hero is fucking pissed.
I'm not claiming this as a sick beat. It's not a sick beat because 999 isn't that far ahead of 666, and it was Stud 8 anyway. I'm claiming this as a sick hand in general. The probability of any starting hand in stud being trips is 0.23%. The probability of 2 players having trips on a 6-handed table is 0.00693%, that's 14431 to 1. Then add the extra sickness in of a wheel being made in 5 cards, and AA being out there at the start too (which is a hand to cap with itself), and throw in quads on the river (he could've made other full houses too but quads for the sickness), and this is an almightily sick hand.

I can only think of 3 hands that possibly equal this for sickness. Let me go get them.
Number 1. (quite famous...quoting off Online Poker Tournaments, FreeRolls & Best Deposit Bonus deals. Internet Poker Room Ratings by Players. Poker News)
50k NL Heads Up Holdem Freezeout. Stu Ungar vs Monsour Matloubi 1990.
Stacks: Ungar: ~60,000; Matloubi: ~40,000
Blinds: 200/400
Hands: Matloubi holds 5-4 offsuit in the BB; Ungar has 10-9 offsuit in the small blind (the button).
Preflop: Ungar raises to 1,600 in the small blind, Matloubi calls.
Flop (pot 3,200): 3-3-7 rainbow
Action: Matloubi checks, Ungar bets 6,000, Matloubi calls.
Turn (pot 15,200): K, board still rainbow
Action: Matloubi checks, Ungar checks.
River (Pot 15,200): Q
Action: Matloubi moves all in for about 32,000 and Ungar calls within a few seconds, declaring, "You've either got 4-5 or 5-6, I call." Ungar then flips up his 10-high to drag the $80,000 pot.
That is quite sick IMO. Now for a sick online hand, again quite famous, and caused a lot of controversy at the time.

And the last one... (quoting off www.pokertop10.com)
WSOP $1500 NL Holdem Final TableLayne Flack vs Philip Marmorstein
Layne Flack won two gold bracelets at WSOP 2002, in two separate No Limit events. At a very memorable final table, it was down to Layne Flack, Philip Marmorstein, Johnny Chan, T.J. Cloutier, and Carlos Mortenson.
Here were the chip stack standings:
Mortensen, 170k
Flack, 195k
Cloutier, 175k
Marmorstein, 80k
Chan, 170k
Now for the action.....Marmorstein (a famous backgammon player) was on the button, and Flack opened for 15k, and Marmorstein called. The flop came 10s-10c-8c, and both players checked. The 4d hit the turn, Flack bet 15k, and Marmorstein called again. Another four, the 4s, hit the river, and Flack moved all-in. Marmorstein practically beat him into the pot, and you know why, because the hands were as follows:
Flack, 10-10 (quad tens)
Marmorstein 4-4 (quad fours)
Unbelievable! Flack had flopped quads, sucking Marmorstein into the Turn (which gave him a full house), leading to the River giving him quads as well!

I dont consider any of them to be a bad beat but the sickest is the Ungar hand.
If it gets to the river and you get called by a high card and lose, it means you have well and truly fucked up the arse! It is completly sick and anyone who manages to pull this off has major issues!
Yes you are right and its a good argument... but the reason i think Ungars is the sickest is because of the hands involved! The other hand atleast involved two 'real' hands!
The limit hand is LIMIT!! How the hell can you fold on the river anyhow?! its LIMIT!!!!! If this was a NL hand it would IMO be the sickest....
In Ungars hand the sickness was pre-meditated as they were playing absolute trash! Thats what makes it more sick than the limit hand.
I love the "u have 45 or 56, i call" hand. Sickest call and i think this is my fav.
The 44 v 33 one is only sick if he put him on 33 or 32(if he did then its amazing but i highly highly highly doubt it). Otherwise its just a donk/weird call or missclick/curiosity/board missread call.
Quad v quad....normal lol.
The stud hand surely has to be the biggest cooler. Therefor the sickest? set v set v AA v low draw. sick. And of course if hero or player 1 dont fill up, player 5 is scooping. Now that would have been sicker.
Sick stuff.
I feel sick now.
