Cannot believe that, i'm happy to lose to the shorter stack with his hand - but that idiot with the 3 3's is ridiculous![]()

How was i to know..![]()
on the first one, I'd likely have made one of two moves, neither were the one you made.
When TnTob raises to 300, which is 1/3 of his stack I'm either pushing him all in, or I'm folding.
and here I'm folding. I hate QK, it's always a trouble hand for me so I avoid playing it. I just find it's a hand where I don't know where I am. If I hit a Queen high or king high flop I'm always nervous about being kicked. At best in this situation I have a coin toss, if he has a mid pocket pair. I'll explain in a sec why I don't think he has. At worst I'm in all kinds of trouble against KK, QQ, AK, AQ etc
without any read on the quality of the other players you mentioned this might not be true but.... I look at two things which make me fold.
1. Valicbr's flat call in early position concerns me for a start. Maybe he really does just have a moderate hand, but I'm always wary that someone doing that is looking for a raise. Hard to gauge without knowing his pre-flop raise frequency but still concerns me that if I move he's coming over the top of me.
2. TnTob raised to 300, that's a third of his stack. He only has less than 10x the big blind. He can't afford to lose 300 chips so I'm thinking he's got a monster. If he has a mid pocket pair, or maybe something like your hand, QK off, then he's gotta be taking his chance, pushing all in, and just hoping he gets through. He can't just stick 300 in, and then fold on the flop when he sees overcards to his pp, or doesn't pair up any of his cards. I'm looking at it and thinking the reason he didn't push all in is that he has a monster and is concerned that everyone might fold if he did and he doesn't get as much out of his AA, KK etc as he was hoping for.
as it happens, the 3, 7 guy was, err, well, I dunno where the call came from pre flop. that'd tell me that he was just trying to see as many flops as possible and calling with any two cards in which case my point 1 above is moot, and you didn't need to factor in his call or be scared of it at all. It was either a re-raise, or fold moment, and for me it would have been a fold one.
also, curious as to how many outs you felt you had after the flop? 9 or an ace obviously, but did you think a queen or king on the turn or river would be good for you as well?
lol @ the second one. I know it's just my mind playing tricks with me and I only remember the times it happens as to the numerous ones where it doesn't, but in my own warped mind I seem to always flop the cards I would have wanted had I not folded my junk hand. Like I'll fold 3, 7 off suit, and then the flop will come down 7, 7, 3
Raise!
err, yeah, just realised I didn't even mention the numpty's call on the turn either. that was pretty bad too. I have no idea on that board with bottom pair, when you've already got a short stack all in and are wanting to know him out, he'd think he was ahead with you betting into him. bizarre
Raise!
That is a very good point you make about his pre flop bet. If a shortstack is looking for action, you can bet your ass he has a big hand. You see it in the cash games, more post flop, a short stacker will bet a small amount instead of pushing trying to get action.
Folding KQ pre flop there is prob the best move.
As for the player calling with 3's, nothing amazes me with online poker anymore![]()
Just had a session playing full stacked 6 max, and I had raised with QQ, board came AQ7. They came out with a half pot size bet, I raised and they pushed, I obviuosly called and they had K 10!!!!!Unfortunately the jack hit to send me on tilt for about 3 hours

Yeh good points, i should've noticed the short stack enticing some players.
I think i just wanted to get him out, and his money would've helped me a lot as i was a bit short stacked compared to others.
I would've been happy him having Ax really. (With that x not being another A, obviously)
