    Default Super crazy chess

I've not played chess in well over a year as i find poker a damn site more interesting. But the thought of playing chess the way Dan describes most definitely has an appeal to me.
Can't say i'd play against Dan as i might as well just hand my cash over to you now.

Do you know of any sites that do this sort of game?

OK if you play it gives us a trip report in this thread. This game isn't really that complex, as it only has about 4 extra rules to standard chess. It's only complex in the same way Rubiks Cubes are complex. They're hard to do and have generated a lot of mathematical research and conjecture, but at the same time they have sold 300 million + of them. Like Gambling Chess (and probably regular chess) it's one of those games that's easy to learn but insanely difficult to master.

Also if you play it, you could offer some suggestions for rule-changes. I just made those rules up because they sound like they're probably good, even though I've never played it, and I think trial and error would generate better rules.

One adjustment could be that sliders have to move (D6-1) places, so that it's possible (if you roll a 1) that they don't move at all like the other pieces, and their average distance would be 2.5 squares, not 3.5 squares. I also think this would make queens and knights about as good.

That was one hell of an article. I'll have to come back and read it again tomorrow.

Good idea but look at the chances of people taking the time to learn the game. Slim I'd say.

This game could do very well, but i'm sure the odds system could be simplified.

It could be formulated in a way where each line towards the center board reduces, each piece after being taken then increases the odds etc.

    Brilliant and very undertaken.

I don't think it would click in terms of gambling industry since, well probably because chess is a mind game that requires a really strong perception about strategies on how to save your king, attack the other kingdom and win the game. Plus the fact that there are so many online chess games you can play in the internet.
