This guy had played quite tight over about 50 hands he'd been on table. Prior to this I had raised his BB once before and fired two big bullets before checking the river to his AQ pair of aces, which he took down. I played this hand pretty similar to that, which made me think this guy thought I was bluffing again here.

On the turn I put him on JT or something, hence betting hard on the turn. He must be calling there just to push UTG on the river. That was a pretty damn good card to push on, but he didn't factor in my awsomeness. So the question is to the cash game players because I am pretty much a noob at these, how often do you think this is a good call?
-SenecaThere is nothing which Fortune does not dare.
-Robert J. AumannIn interactive decision making – games -- you must consider what other people would do if you did something different from what you actually do.
- Napoleon BonaparteThe great general is not he who makes fewest mistakes, but he who can best take advantage of the mistakes of his enemy.
standard call nh
This is not a standard call, it's not terrible but i'd say -ev overall. River is a fold against an unknown with a short stack i'd say. With a read of "quite tight" & passive i'd just let it go.
If your not being bluffed of the best hand every now and again you're likely calling too much.
Walking away is easy. The hard part is standing up.
