    Default censorship on gambling.co.uk/forums

    Sigh. what's the story?
i earlier (today)posted a link to something relevant to this forum, and rather interesting (deepstack live tourney in ireland) - DELETED.

I posted some posts in a discussion about a month ago regarding Celeb V poker.co.uk (quite a long thread actually) a while back - also all wiped out/ DELETED.

    What's the story???
does gambling.co.uk have a draconian deletion policy? we are not allowed to talk about other poker rooms and how good they are? We are not allowed to link to stories on other poker forums which are clearly of interest to the users of the forum?

please enlighten me as to the reasons for these deletions - The internet is a big place and I certainly won't be posting on this forum again unless some pretty good reasons are given for this apparent censorship. If a pm had been sent explaining deletion - fair dues- anything else is crap.

sigh...I did not see this thread, if you just posted the information then I cant think of a reason for it to be deleted without seeing it. If you posted a link to your forum to get to the information then obviously it will be deleted, similar threads have been deleted for this same reason loads of times.

If a pm had been sent explaining deletion - fair dues- anything else is crap.
Why should a pm be sent, do you send pms everytime you delete something from your forum?

    right - Obviously why?

posting links to relevant information results in a deleted post? . hyperlinking to things is in the spirit of the internet. I'll not waste my time posting links to anything interesting again, whether it's on one of my sites or not....

p.s why was the celeb v poker.co.uk discussion deleted then.. hmm?

Come on Ross stop drying your dirty clothes in public!

If you have an issue with the way the site is run why dont you just ask matt directly? He is approachable and i am sure will give you an answer.

I seriously hope you didnt start this thread because you think you are talking on behalf of the other members and we all agree with you but are too scared to speak out?! Because tbh thats the way it comes across to me!

I like posts getting deleted, i like spam getting deleted, i like irrelevant links getting deleted... thats why i post here as oppossed to other sites cause they have a good NO SPAM policy.

    If you dont like it.........

If you wanted to share the information without any problems you could have copied and pasted the details, when you link to threads on your site it can look like you are just trying to get people to go to your site, you can link to your site from the private poker forum but not the general forums.

Would need to see the other thread before commenting on it.

Hi Alex, whilst I haven't deleted any posts recently, on the odd occasion when we've been threatened with legal action we have removed potentially libellous posts from the forum. Not sure if one of the threads you are referring to may fit this description?

I don't know who deleted your recent thread (didn't see the thread either), but naturally it is best to link directly to information or simply paste it here (rather than via your own site) although there may be exceptional cases.
