Getting your chips in as big favourite, but the other player outdrawing you at long odds.
Any other unusually bad luck, eg hitting a full house when the other player's hit a better one.
Any beat that puts you on tilt, eg a really bad player having quad As when you try bluffing him.
Spinning off from the other thread, I thought it'd be mildly interesting to find out what people interpreted the term to mean.
(Option 2 includes option 1, by the way, ie "Being outdrawn OR any other unusually bad luck". But you're only allowed 100 chars for each poll option, so I couldn't make that clearer.)
I cant vote as the choices are ghey.
This is a bad beat! Going to church then the Rev getting you to do this

Promise Her Anything, But Give Her Walty
Walty ....you can`t really get much sicker!....or can you?...Knowing how your mind works probably so...anyways
In Poker the term "bad beat" is totally meaningless. It is just your own personal view of the outcome of a certain situation, and if you just think of it as an event with an outcome you will get over the "bad" outcome much quicker. Don`t dwell move on. You should try not to waste energy on something you have no control over. Concentrate on the positive aspects of the game and it will hopefully enable you to handle the negatives much better...Remember Event-Outcome...nothing more.
Here endeth the psychology lesson.
WALTY....you`re the breast simply the breast...LOL
