    Default Sit n Go's advice

    Hi all

i usually play some sit n go's and 7/10 times i can get down to a head to head position , but this is where my weakest is.
I tend to lose out on most occassions, to me it seems that its just down to luck when theres 2 players left.

Just looking for advice on how i should play head to heads, the last 2 in tournament.

You should probably play some low stakes HU sng's and pratice - that would be the obvious answer. I find low stakes HU games harder than higher stakes HU games as wierd as that sounds... so low stakes is actually a good place to pratice!

If you want some general advice then, and this as usual from me might be a little contraversal!! But it seems to do me ok!!

Start of a HU game i play very passivly and weak and will happily fold the button to raises... and basically play like a donk to lure the opponant in. When the blinds start to increase... i will start to call a little more preflop and see some flops... when the blinds kick in again i will start to play position and play more agressivly by raising the button more times than my opponant raises my button. I will also fold less to my opponants positional raises than he folds to mine.

I find limping Ax quite a profitable play in lower stakes HU, as everyone assumes that you should raise with it... and the times you do hit an ace on the flop you can half pot bet and probably get paid off on the river.

Prob seems a little obvious but HU is about getting your opponant to fold more than you... when the blinds get worth raising... make them fold fold fold!

On the flip side... if you are playing someone who pressurise when the blinds are worth stealing... you only need to make one good repop/bluff every once in a while before you trap the hell out of them!

I'll be the first to admit I'm rubbish heads up.

Aggression is key and you try and play the player rather than the cards, because you simply haven't got time to wait for good cards.

Luck is a very big part of it but good heads up players will mostly always come out on top.

Just add, if you make it to heads up 7/10, you're doing very well
