Totally depends on what kind of game im playing; here are my limits (mind you i play quite high stakes and would play a lot more at lower stakes).
Heads-up sng's: 2 Heads-up cash: 2 6 handed ring: 4-6 10handed sng's: 8-10 Tourneys: 6-8. I'm not usually playing more than 3 tourneys but i really think i could play a lot of tourneys at once. Sunday im almost always playing 5 at a time at least. Its quite common for a lot of cash game players to play 4 ring games at once since it usually fits the screen well, it is also not too tough with a little practice. Heres what helps me play many tables at once though ![]()

2-8 mtts & 1-4 cash games (maybe 2 full-ring turbos, and 2 short handed)
most decisions are instantly obvious, hence multi-tabling is fine. If multi-tabling >6 cash tables a pokerhud overlay is most useful too. |

google it my friend.
pahud or gametime+ also look for pokertracker. The overlays/huds read stats from your PokerTracker and overlay em near player avatars on your table, so you know who is what kind of player at a glance (useful when playing many tables at once)... also, you can also get PT to auto-rate players and such.. |
