Ok so internet poker has been kinda rubbish to me recently. So i decided to step outside into the real world and play a donkament at Walsall casino.
£30 triple chance freezeout so you get 3 x 2000 chips (these can be taken at any time)
30 min levels and quite a nice structure.
This hand is after everyone has had all their allocated chips.
Blinds 200/400
My stack 28K
Villans stack 17K
We are 9 handed
Me UTG dealt 66. I limp for 400 (Table has been kinda passive so i decide to limp as i know i am going to get a cheap flop and who knows most likely to get paid if i hit my set)
EP calls and we get another 4 limpers!! hahaha
Flop
Qd Jd 6c
I check (good/bad idea)??
EP bets out 1200 which scares off all the other limpers.
So whats your move here? Call peel off another card? Raise as we are scared of a possible draw to diamonds or straight?

Sorry forgot to add my table image was pretty TAG. Shown down KK, AK and QQ
EP villian was a pretty good player. Not too tricky but your standard TAG player.

If it were me, I'd do a pot sized re-raise to get someone off a straight/flush draw. Mind you, I suspect I would have bet the flop, especially as it is a passive table and you dont want people checking it and a 9 or K of diamonds popping on the turn.
LOL i played this hand sooooooooooooo wrong its unreal.
Anyway i flat called.
Turn a K
next move???
Check and let him bet again or bet???

Presumably not the Kd?
Have to say, if your not leading out on the flop you HAVE to raise him, as Dan said.
You may get lucky and house up, but if not there are all manner of scare cards that can hit the turn...... and it did.
Having said that, what is this guys range? The only feasible hands beating you, (as he didn't raise preflop i'm discounting high pocket pairs and therefore a set over set situation), are A-10 and 9-10. Against those odds i'd believe that my set was still good. Also, you've shown down premium hands right? So what is he putting you on? Maybe A-Q, A-J? Which he would feel comfortable against if he's holding 2 pr at this point.
I reckon your ahead here matey...shove and pray you don't get shafted by the river?
You played it terribly. The way I see it: if you call you are letting him in with the hands that can beat you. If you raise he is only calling with the hands that you have crushed. Simple as that. If you flat call you're looking at having 60% of a small pot which you can be outplayed on when you go behind. If you raise you either have 85% of a massive pot, or he folds and you rake the same amount as if you'd flat called him.

I agree Dice
This hand i played like a total muppet and i was really pissed off with myself. I was trying to be a bit tricky but tricked myself and ended up losing so much value it was unreal.
However this was the one bad hand i played of the tournament and luckly for me it did not take me out of the game and i actually won the hand. But please slate me for this i was awful!
