Got an idea to run past you guys.
I (we) are thinking about having a monthly comp to test out your heads up skills.
1) EVERYBODY has to start at the min level on poker.co.uk (€3.15 PL, L, or NL.). If you win then you progress to the next level (up to 13 games, €2050)
2)The starting games would all start at a pre-arranged time and be co-ordinated through the chatroom here.
3)You can play against one another or against randoms. These would be public, normal games.
4)The games must be played in a row and must be announced in the chat room, either before you register or as soon as they start, to be valid.
5)If at any time you lose, you may start again from the €3.15 level (within reason for time) .
There would be a leader board which all could view and would be played once a month.
Any thoughts?
Would anybody be up for giving it a go?
Cheers,
Haggis
Waltypies:Haggis i wish you were here now so i could kiss you
Waltypies:I think Carters sis is more of a long term thing. My sis is just a one nighter i reckon
Lucky_scrote: DAMNIT, I was looking forwards to some mod abuse! I'd like to abuse you especially Haggis.
Quite a good idea! I like...
But, if i win say 5 in a row (haha i know!) i would just stop and drop back down to the start and start over!!
Do you have to play until you lose?
edit: level 7 i would drop out and start over
Nope you can feel free to drop out or down a level or two whenever you like, so long as you let it be known in the chat room.
I know what you mean, i'd be s**ting it if i made it to €500 even though i'd be at least €190 up even if i lost. Its for fun as much as anything.
(actually anything above €30 would be a bit scary for me, but don't tell anyone please Lee)
Cheers,
Haggis

Why not?
thats why we all start on the same level, €1000 games are toooo easy for me, but the €3 ones are a total bitch!![]()

To be honest getting to the 100-200 mark would prob win the race anyway as thats winning 8-9 heads up matchs in a row.
I might however be wrong, someone might get through all 13 rounds to 2000 and walk away after turning €3.15 into €4117.50
I will try and figure out the "finer" points of the ideas, then get back to y'all on a day/time/other stuff I haven't figured out yet.
Anybody else fancy this? The more the merrier I s'pose.
Cheers

I`d love to embarass myself in front of the whole forum so....count me in...time perrmitting.![]()
If i remember correctly diceman and scrote managed 13 HU matches on the trot a few months back. Wouldnt suprise me if someone comes close again.
I was thinking along the same lines about something like this a few weeks ago. Could not be bothered to post it though as i like posting pictures of dead cats and calling people cnuts!
My idea was making a league. Everyone plays each other best out of 6! Yes best out of 6 as you could draw the match. Basically for each game you win you get a point so in theory a draw we get 3 points each. Oh and yes this idea was stolen from the Premier snooker league (so what)!!
But i would still play this challenge
