Apat season 2 Newcastle Report

23 Runners, 5hrs 45 to play and would have been longer if we hadnt have made a deal with 4 left

Got to final table fairly easilly after my Q10d shortstack shove was called by KJ and i made my flush on the turn again! 9 left and were all in the ranking points

Got to final 4 after about 2 hours on the final table where we made a deal where we would get £60 each and play on for the 3 seats and the ranking points

I made a fatal error by checking my queens on the flop only for a king to come on the turn and i doubled Millbet up! Nice one lol

My demise came shortly after when i pushed 16k with 10 10 preflop to win 3200 blinds and my mate Barnes called instantly with QQ, 4th for £60, 6 points but no seat,

Once the 3 had guaranteed their seats they loosened up with only points to play for and Barnes was heads up with Millbet, who despite being truley hammered managed to river a 4 card flush and take it down!

this was the live monthly regional event in grosvenor newcastle

top 10% win seats to the national events worth £75 and top 3 win the medals too

aye it seems like it was a very poor uk wide turnout

was max of 80 players in each regional event and the highest we heard of was 63

with only top 10% getting seats they rounded ours up to intice us back haha

Yeah i did not think they would sell out to be honest with you.

You have to remember they are only a sat and some people are only in it for the money. The casino regulars i doubt will be too interested in the prize pool. Not only that they casinos did not advertise them

Yeah mate

the problem the TD said to us was that because it was no rake and effectively very little revenue for them, they simply wouldnt advertise as it didnt make any difference if it were cancelled or removed from the schedule

There were 23 players, 19 casino regulars and 4 newcomers, who all left and went home without playing any side games or casino games after

For me i dont think i will bother with these games again. There does not seem a point to them despite the points. However there are so many internet games that the points are pointless!!

I like the idea of these regionals but dont think they have been used to there best. Oh well i guess its a learning curve for them and i wish the players all the best in the future regionals
