In a poker league thing I finished in the top 4 and won a pair of tickets to any Champions League Group stage match with travel expenses, I have to pick 3 choices.. not sure what to go for, so...what would you pick?!
I was thinking going to the Nou Camp would be good so Barcelona V Rangers will probably be 1st choice. Probably would be wise to go for an English/Scottish team away I think, any stand out ties?! |

Good prize there. If I were a neutral (I'm not, I'd probably end up choosing a Liverpool game), these would be my top 3:
Valencia vs Chelsea 3rd October Werder Bremen vs Real Madrid 28th November Roma vs Man United 12th December One factor you need to consider is whether the game will be even worth watching. Those at the very end of the group stage are either going to be really good matches or really bad matches. In fact if I had decided to go to an end-of-the-group-stage tie, and it turned out that it meant nothing, I might not even go to it. But if you predict how a group will go pretty well, you could find yourself at a brilliant game.

did you get expenses too? i only ask because if you dont you gotta consider how expensive the city is, milan is very expensive for eg
valencia vs chelsea would be good provided as dice pointed out if its not the last game, games 3 nd 4 in each group are usually the best as they generally decide who wins the group so will be more competitive barca vs rangers for atmosphere milan cs celtic for same reason lazio vs real madrid as rome is a beautiful city and well worth seeing roma vs man u for same reason, |

No, only get travel/accomodation expenses. But the mate I'm takin said he's gonna pick up some of my spending(beer) money tab for his free trip, so should be ok!! In the end I could only choose from the games from the end of October - end of November as that's the only time I can get off work My final choices were: Barca V Rangers - mainly for the stadium/chance to see Barca play but also heard the city is good (and woody has backed this up!) Slavia Prague v Arsenal - 'cos Prague is meant to be a good night out, also will be lots of fellow English about and Arsenal usually play entertaining footy Sevilla V Arsenal - Couldn't really decide on the 3rd option...my mate didnt fancy Kiev so went for another Spanish city! I'm hoping for one of the first two to be honest but whatever game I go to will be great! Bit of a change from watching Swindon anyway The league was on Willhill earlier this year, quite a good promotion really |

Yeah, that's the main street which runs all the way down to the harbour. The bars are quite expensive around there but there are loads of little side streets you can wonder off into which are a bit more reasonably priced. Awesome city.
