Hi all,
Im new to the forum so apogies if i should find this information elsewhere. Im in Gloucester so dont mind travelling to Bristol/Birmingham/Walsall for a game tonight.
A few of us are beginners though so we are looking for a cheap freezout/Double chance like £20 or so. Or a cheap rebuy if we really have to.
The main issue is that we would prefer it to have their own dealers as there are a couple of newbies who wont play if it isnt!
Can anyone recommend anywhere for tonight? I understand the new Gala in Bristol has dealers but im not sure of their program.

Alright there.
Can i direct you to this site Bristol & South West Poker Group - sponsored by Poker.co.uk (Bristol) - Meetup.com
Here you will find alot of information about local casino games.
The post here Regular weekly/daily Games in Bristol. Information on Free Leagues and Casino Games - updated 17th September 2007 - Bristol & South West Poker Group - sponsored by Poker.co.uk (Bristol) - Meetup.com should help you with everything.
There is a cheap £20 FO tonight at the Gala if you wanted or the group is holding a friendly £25 FO at a club in Bristol (however this is not dealer dealt)!
Hope that helps

Thanks for that mate thats wicked. The Gala Harbourside has dealers does it not? Ive also noticed that you have written a line on the bottom about sit and go tournaments. Do you know when they run and what range of buy ins they have?
I may try and make a forum game in the very near future when im not laden with newbies!
Ive never even heard of Matchplay to be honest. Im one of the new generation of poker players bred online. But i am trying to just play as much live poker as I can at the moment.
Stroud is a bit more local so will try and look that one up.
I think the sit and go's is a wicked idea. The casino must be massive! Unless there is a long list of people waiting for a table.
Sorry guys, i have one last question. I havent been to a casino game in a while and I noted the game starts at 8, but i need to go and see the wife quickly first or I will be in the dog house all weekend! Any idea what time registration closes or whether it fills up very quickly?

And it really does close at 7.45pm, no arguments!! On Sunday night for the £100 freezeout, three people travelled from Birmingham to play and got there just after the draw for seats had been done.
They pleaded but to no avail and were told "under no circumstances would they do a redraw, make everyone stand up and move tables". They three chaps said they had come a long way, but it didn't work and they were left with no game that night. So you really do need to get there on time.
Im not concerned about getting there for 7.30 ish. I just hope its not full when we get there. I dont know hoe many it holds, but there is 9 of us going.
Just got back in, what a wicked night! My mate ended up dealing even for first and second place. I came about 13th, which I was quite happy with considering how card dead I was for the whole tim. I think the best unpaired hand I had was A 10 and the highest rolled up pair i had was threes! There was 57 runners in total btw.
Then we played the sit and gos but they were a bit short staffed so there was only 1/2 running at a time. Managed to get 3 in between 11 and 4. First one was all-in 3rd hand when I couldnt contain my excitement when I was dealt AK suited. Called by Queens which held up.
Then played one tight, and placed 3rd. Then the final one my cards changed. Rolled up aces, kings, jacks. I couldnt miss straights and flushes. Knocked out 4 players when i flopped a straight. After a while there was 4 left, and I had 15k out of 20k. Then my luck turned..
Tried to steal UTG with A3, had a caller, I flopped 2 pair and check raised all in. He had A8, hit an A on the turn to make the boat...and then the 8 on the river to make hima bigger boat.
Then the very next hand im dealt 9 2 in the BB, flop 2 pair again and check raise all in. The same guy calls with K9. Aces turn and river give him two pair with higher kicker! I manage to scrape through to heads up but im only good for second place.
So overall im up on the poker for the evening (although down on the roullette.) Would recommend this place to anyone, the dealers are still in training a little bit lol but its much nicer having dealers.
Thanks to Waltypies for helping me find out what was on! Cant wait to go again!!
