    Suicide yes, and I'm not saying that would have been my play.

    But if you're sat there with pocket aces and someones re-raises you pf, bet the queen high flop and then not slowed down when the 2nd Queen has hit and then pushed on the river are you really gonna think you're aces are good ?

    With about half his starting stack left (still a very playable stack) I'd certainly be very unsure if I was ahead and giving some serious thought to a fold.

    Ok just been doing the maths. Pot is 7k. Phil had about 6.5 k left, Holbrook about 11.5k.

    So Holbrook could call a river push, lose and still have 5k. Probably hard to push him off aces in that spot. If stacks were roughly even and it was for his tourny life then it's a tougher decision.

    The pot is 9k, typo in my OP, and I had ~5.5k left.

    Makes it even tougher for him to fold then I suppose.

    Did it cross your mind to push the river or had you given up on the pot completely by then ?
