    Default 5 card draw

Just played a bit of this tonight and lost around $60, fair enough but i never won one hand.

Every hand that was played out was at least 3 of a kind for example against my 2 pair, or when i hit straights a house was always there.

I understand (being a limit game) you need big hands, but didnt quite realise that me betting on the river with 1 other player would induce a smoooth call from him with a big house, thought no game could be that tight.

Just seemed everyone was getting extremely lucky every time, i never thought it was possible but in this game i get sucked out EVEN more than holdem'!

Eh, shit happens just all part of the learning curve i guess.

Everyone has runs like that occasionally, regardless of the game. Just remember that you won't be due another one of these for a good while now so sit back and enjoy.

    Default Rocks....mostly Greek!

Just as a pointer ...as I used to play this game for a living...many moons ago!
5 card draw is a rocks game, you start with the best hand and generally you finish with the best hand. That being so most players who win consistently at that game choose only high card - high quality starting hands. The fact that there are no community cards means that it is harder theoretically to outdraw a player, a lot more so than in Omaha or Hold-em ....7 stud is very similar in that respect.

    Hope this helps.
