I'd bet the pot or just under.
You want to get money in the pot but you don't want to give him odds to draw to the flush.
I'd bet half as much the pot again. He's likely chasing something. Why give him a chance to hit. If the rivers a heart and he's called a weak turn bet by you then you wont know where you are

I probably push given the turn action but a smaller bet or a check may well be better against an unknown. Hmm maybe a min bet! I'm happy to go broke here tho, it's just a question of how!Originally Posted by waltypies

Preflop - is this a standard raise for you?
Flop - Why check raise, and why check raise so small?
I assume we are readless as it's the start of the tourney?
this is a stars 180 man sng right?? You're more than likely in front - no doubt he's playing K-9 suited or something. if he's got pocket 3s so be it. Take him to value city (population 1)

Preflop Standard raise in these tourneys early on is normally 4 - 5x times the big blind. You will get callers so i want to build up some juicy pots early onOriginally Posted by PokerWoody
Flop - God knows what i was doing there! Was testing the water a little to be honest.
Yes you are correct in thinking no reads. Never played the player in question.

Fair enough, i'd never open KJ from this position so early on in the game...but that is probably why I suck at MTT's!!Originally Posted by waltypies
