If I knew the player and thought they would bet an underpair if I checked I might be more inclined to c/r, but as it stands it seems straightforward enough to me.

No, becuase the only hand we are likey behind is QJ and we have fairly decent equity against that.

In my thinking time i ruled out JJ as i am guessing he would have raised it up preflop but some people are tricky or stupid and play AQ or AJ like that. This was a 9 seater table btw if that makes any difference.

Even if i knew they were drawing the thought of folding would have still crossed my mind as in MTTs i like to get all my chips in being a bigger favourite at times especially early on.

Yep, KT would also be a concern but you have 20 big blinds left, you have top pair and the guys that get the chips early are normally donks. There are many more hands he might have which you are in front and this guy is an unknown, i'd normally expect this hand to go bet/fold on the flop but once I bet the flop i'm not going anywhere and i'm always betting this flop without a read.

Then again, I always assume that anyone that plays MTTs is most likey mentally retarded in some form (which I know isn't really true...most of the time anyway) but this always leads me to give everyone no credit whatsoever.
