Default A hand I think I played badly

Villian is 21/12/2.5 over 90 hands. Hasn't really got out of line or done anything noticably stupid or magnificant. I'm playing around 23/19/3 on this table.

    The game is 6 handed.

Villain has $104 and I cover (with about $170)

    Pre-flop: (6 players) Woody is UTG with Q Q
Woody raises to $4, 2 folds, Button calls, 2 folds.

    Flop: 3 8 8 ($8.75, 2 players)
Woody bets $6, Button raises to $12, Woody ???

I'll post the next street in a bit after some responses on the flop play...

Gotta love these spots where we're way ahead or way behind and OOP.

I see the min-raise used as a feeler to try and determine whether you have abig pair or not quite often, especially with smaller pairs on boards like that. It's also a reasonable line for an 8 to try and extract value from a big pair.

I don't see folding as an option and I don't think I'm going to like whatever they do in response to a re-raise, they either fold a much worse hand or we have more tough decisions. Flat call? Then maybe lead the turn? Default line is to pop it to $32 or so but for some reason I don't want to here

Yeah, folding seemed to suck, and raising didn't seem too hot either. I mean i'm pretty much bluffing if I raise and he calls or hoping he checks it down no?

    Flop: 3 8 8 ($8.75, 2 players)
Woody bets $6, Button raises to $12, Woody Calls

    Turn: T ($32, 2 players)
    Woody ???

Id check with the intention of check calling him if he bet... if he had a bigger stack i would think about check raising him on the turn.

I dont think a check raise or a lead out would be good in this spot because if he did have the 8 he would be thinking of ways to milk you the river... i say keep control of the pot size.

If it went check check then i would be prepared to lead out on the river...

If it went check call (by you) i would check the river and see what he did as i would be sure he had the 8.

If it went bet (by you) reraise/push (by him) i would fold.

    Woody ???

He has ~$70 left. Bet or check? If check how much do we call on the river? If we bet how much do we bet and what do we do if he raises?

A fishy min raise on the flop, a 1/2 pot bet... sounds a little fishy to me.

I would put in a little feeler bet of around $20... if he reraises then fold!!!!!

I thought about this but given the previous action I thought I'd get bluff raised by worse hands to often, but maybe i'm giving my opponents too much respect. However just checking puts me in an arkward spot too when he bets and I feel i'm losing value to second best hands. Possibly I need to play the hand differnely on an earlier street?

    River: 5 ($64, 2 players)
    Woody Checks, Button Checks.

    Button shows JJ
