I think what potts said about sums up my opinion of the hand... "There's an argument for finding a fold here, but I think I'm inclined to smooth call, especially if this is a Final Table. We still only have a pair, but it might still be the best hand. Best case, the BB checks it down and we dodge a heart, Ace, King or Jack on the Turn and River and scoop. If a brick falls on the Turn and the BB bets, I think I'm done with the hand, but it's very read-dependent"
I have looked at everyones reasoning for pushing and iam normally quite good at understanding other peoples point of view but in this case i really think pushing is the wrong move and calling (or folding) is the best play....
Looking back as crazy as this sounds i know the fold was wrong but i know why i did it :-S
So some questions....
If you were dealt QQ in the first hand of a tournie blinds vs blinds and another player accidently turned over AK and managed to get all in.... would you call? would you knowingly take that 50/50?
Then, once you have answered that question then think about late stages of a tournie a two places of the bubble.... same things happens you have QQ and someone thats all in accidently shows AK would you knowingly call?
So what have i learnt from this hand? em..... i dont know!! However.... i know that if this was the WSOP and i was, lets say 10 places of the bubble and exacaly the same thing happened i would fold again, why get myself involved in a coin flip??
Who was the big blind?
What a friggin stupid fold.... fuckin twat!! I could understand if i was on the bubble....
(note the artist - i thought it was appropiate)
