People probably seen this already, but for completeness thought I'd link to an old Simpsons out-take where Bond's playing Blackjack against Blofeld.

Homer seems qualified enough as a dealer that he could get a job in a certain Bristol casino.

Yeah, I liked it. Some of the peeps I went with were a bit disapointed by it but I thought it was an excellent 'new bond' bond film.

Also, bond has a tell to aid him in his decision, but I think the tell thing was a bit rubbish.

i read somewhere there was a bit of a mess up with the cut scenes.....somehow he killed someone in the break and was seen with the body the next morning then was back in the poker game..... oh and had time for a shower and new suit or something.....not bad considering you barely get time for a decent munch and a shit in most of the breaks i had in tourneys!!!

    LOL

Haven't seen this new Bond film but apparently its well different compared to the old suave types of Bond- more of a 'He who Dares' SAS kind of character rather than a Navy officer chummy, if you know what I mean... which would be a step in the right direction for me.

I thought the Bond film was disappointing.

Best film out at the moment is The Prestige, it's amazing. No poker in that one though.

I watched the bond film last night and it was ok...

The poker was laughable though... too be honest i dont like hollywoods portrayal of poker in any of the films i have seen so far. Rounders made it look like a dodgy underground game and Bond then used the old cliche of 'i raise you my car' LOL.... and as for the hands quad jacks vs full house in one hand. In another hand it was full house vs full house vs full house vs straight flush!! I mean come on what the hell was bond doing in that hand with 58s in the first place!! lol..... i would be more impressed if he called an all in with bottom pair or something!!! I supposse normal poker doesnt make great movies/tv!

    Anyway rant over!

    SPOILER

It was 7-5s, but quite. I was half-expecting Le Chiffre to say something like "7-5? Who calls with 7-5? You FISH!"

Bond could then tap his finger on his upturned cards and point out, rather sagely and suavely "7-5 sooted."

Looking at the action, Bond must called from the Button and flopped the OESFD. He made his Straight flush on the Turn.

    Nice han'

    LOL

As anyone will tell you 'the hand to which you refer' IS the best hand in poker. You clearly haven't read my book
