Who said I was dominated. The guy raised every other hand, I've already seen 79o at showdown from a preflop raise.Originally Posted by PokerWoody

As for flop play i would have called his bet on the flop hoping to improve my hand which you did. The rest of the play is easy from you improving.
See the trouble with you raising would be that if you dont improve your hand you could well be easily behind. Anyway its just my view and no doubt i am wrong. But i say flat call on the flop and see what we have to come. Failing that fold that trash preflop!! lol![]()

You might not be dominated but it’s going to be hard to know where you are when the flop comes down Jack high. You will end up in a position where you are folding the best hand to often or being forced to play a big pot with a marginal hand. These are both things we’d like to try and avoid if possible. On flops like this it's not so much of a problem becuase we figure to be ahead nealy always however generally the flop isn't going to be so kind when we hold these sorts of hands. You also ended up with the advantage of being on position on this hand, normally when you limp call from UTG, you won't be.

So if our opponent has a hand and is scared of the flush/straight draw he should re-raise our min-raise here. Thor says he's confident he's ahead and he is always right about these things so when they re-raise that's when you take all their chips.
