There's no way all the money isn't going in there really.

Maybe someone could argue that if you bet substantially and didn't check he could have possibly put them down but in that context surely that bet would be considered a mistake.

So you were just unlucky .

    Right. What have you got?
    "Three pairs."
What d'you mean three pairs? You're only allowed five cards!
"Oh. Shit! Er, two pairs. Well, two and a half pairs."

"Right, let's get on with the game."
    What have you got?
    "Five kings."

Why are we even talking about "getting away from it"?! You have the nuts! To ever even consider getting away from the nuts is just crazy!

i was thinking along the lines of as its so early in the tournie should i try and see at least the turn before going all in, not just this hand but in generl.Ive also had so so many beats like this recently so im basically at the end of me teather and looking for answers, which does not neccessarily mean they are answers. Its the cash game ones that are killin me

I'd say that you could see the turn if you like and almost certainly still be ahead whatever comes. But on the flop you are guaranteed favourite. Most hands will be drawing dead to you and even some of the best hands will need runner runner quads (bottom 2 pairs, smaller sets).

No matter how many similar bad beats you've had, the answer will always be to push the nuts at any time given the opportunity. Unless you believe that there is some power that is capable of repeatedly screwing you over against the odds (like God, a malicious demon or karma) then you should pay no attention to past examples of bad luck in present pots.

I know but im just building my roll again (employment whilst studying is good but not all that) and im getting kicked in the nads left right and centre. I feel like negreanu on high stakes. BUt ur right i need to just keep plugging away, getting it in when im ahead and getting out when im not.

Ps - Random (very) query - did anyone notice all Paul Wasicka's fans at the main event final table this year all had Middlesbrough FC tops on. WTF?
