clearly you can't be too scared of the asian guy who obviously doesn't have much grasp on the game and could be on titlt. I would be far more scared of a tag player calling here, the only real hands he could have are KJ JQ AJ, AJ has you beat and the other two don't. but you need to know if this tag player will call with anything below AJ here. Furthermore, there is no aggression from the TAG player, so it may well be a slowplay from him. It's a marginal situation and the fold may well have been right and a fantastic fold if it was.

Gotta remember the asian dude may well have AA, skill does not dictate what hands he has.

Sorry i have caused a bit of confusion here my last comment was posted just as i was about to go out.

The asian guy did not show. However the TAG player did infact show KJ. I really did think he had AJ or AA. Serves me right for playing J9 i guess.

Anyway people be nice to each other as i am not here as much as i used to be and i cant join in the fun taking the piss out of people

So the guy with KJ took the pot? If not I don't get how the asian guy didn't show.

I find in situations like this that if I call and lose I won't go on tilt. However if I fold and would have won...tiltus maximus here I come!! Bit of a leak proably but there you go.

To those saying call, how deep does it have to be before you switch from call to fold??

To those saying fold, what size bet do you call on the river?

He did not have to show as the guy with KJ flipped it over and the asian guy insta mucked. I thought the asian lad should have shown first but in the early hours of the morning i am in no mood to argue with anyone.

The funny thing about this hand and the point i was going to make i dont think i would have if i was the 1st to bet and even if they had gone all in after i bet i think i would have called. Strange that the longer i thought about the hand the more the voices in my head were telling me to fold. I knew i should have taken my doctors advice and not listen to those voices.

Well I don't think the fold is terrible or anything, but i'd be supprised if you were properly rolled for this game which I think may have effected your desicion. Calling here is deffo +EV in my eyes, although not 'uber massive ship it ev fuck yeah', but it is quite high variance.

No i was not properly rolled, as you may know. So i reckon this was a big influence on my fold. I had only taken £200 with me to the casino as i went with a few mates. I guess if i had not have donked my roll i would have defo called but i did walk away about 30 mins later from the table as it was approaching 2am

However things are getting back on track

Anyway I'd be calling this on the turn in most likelihood. I expect the small blind has at best AK, maybe AQ. The other guy has KJ or QJ and you just outdrew him on the turn. Only an ace or K/Q beats you on the river in my opinion, 5 outs, and 2 9s for a split.
Guess who was right? I'd be very surprised if I was wrong about the Asian guy as well.
