This could be the point to lay the hand down for me, you've defined your hand with the first raise and for them to reraise all in its rarely going to be on a bluff or a drawing hand.Originally Posted by PokerWoody
By raising the turn bet its easier to get away from the hand than it is to call the turn and then call the river.
We have a winner!!! He had 44.Originally Posted by POB666
Personally I think my raise is horrible, sometimes I just need to slow down. Playing mulitple tables means I make a lot of quick descions, but that is no reason to compremise the quality of the descions. There have been a few hands recently where I have acted and then imeadiatly thought 'that was the wrong play'. STOP IT WOODY!
Technically it was a set not trips. My badOriginally Posted by POB666

By rasing the turn we are effectivly bluffing. Our hand is not hopeless, we most likey have 4 outs when we are behind so we'd like to see the river. Also, if he is bluffing we give him a chance to bluff again on the river. Raising the turn is also going to cost us about the same as calling turn and river so we don't lose much more by calling, but we give ourselves the opportunity to win more.Originally Posted by trustme
