I think common sense should be allowed to prevail here. In the example I mentioned it would have been obvious to everyone that the player was calling. The player who had 55 or something just wanted to abuse the formality and strictness of the rules even though he was in the moral wrong there. To be fair, if the guy was going to fold with aces then he should be banned for chip-dumping. because they did not ban him it stands to reason that he called.

in most casinos and card rooms exposing your hand causes it to be mucked and if in an mtt you'll probably get a 10 minute penalty too
