    Default KK on the button

I have a very LAG image. Earlier in the session I lost a few pots but have since been paying attention and playing pretty well and am now slightly up. My stats are currently 36/28 and I have been playing the button aggressively throughout the session.

The SB seems a little tilty after just losing a pot a few hands ago but has only been at the table for about 15 hands so no good read.

The BB is a fairly good TAG (24/16) who tried to play back at me earlier when I was on the button but came of second best – (I raised the button, he reraised from the BB, I called. He bet flop, I min raised he folded).

    NL100 ($0.50/$1.00)
    I have $160
    SB has $60
    BB has $100

Two limps to me on the Button with KK, I raise to $5. SB calls, BB calls, UTG calls, CO folds.

    Flop 56T – 4 players – Pot ($22)

Checked to me, I bet $16, SB Calls, BB Calls, UTG folds.

    Turn 2 – 3 Players – Pot ($70)

SB checks, BB bets $35, I fold, SB Calls.

    How’d I do preflop?
How’d I do on the flop?
How’d I do on the turn?

    Preflop

I like this. An overbet looks like a steal and you normally get a few callers or someone going over the top.

    On the flop

Yeah a pot size bet looks good. Not loving the callers though

    After the turn

I think you made the right move. Trips sound likely here

Good fold I wish i was as good
    I breasts and muffs

The problem I have with a lot of hands is that you only have a short while to think about it before you find out the results. Once you know the results is skews your thinking and makes it harder to analyse.

I'll see if anyone else has any thoughts on it before I comment.

Pre-flop is fine. Kind of depends how big your typical raises have been but I might overbet here behind the limpers given your image and against people who will play back at you.

    The flop is pretty standard.

The turn is a weird spot, about the only hand the BB could have that wouldn't raise the flop but has you beat is 34.
It looks like a semi-bluff but it's going to cost a fair bit to find out and even if you're right you still lose a fair amount of the time. I can't see any way that is is a pure bluff with the SB involved and most hands that beats you would have raised the flop.
I think I probably fold if I'm playing the hand but looking at if afterwards I think you're ahead a lot of the time. If they had a monster I'd expect a c/r all-in with their stack size.

    Pre flop

I think I should have bet a little more here. I actually like walty’s suggestion of an over bet, my standard here is to $6 but I think more like $8-$10 would be better, I have a good image to get a call but I really don’t want this one multiway.

    On the flop

That isn’t a terrible flop but it’s not a great one either. I thought about checking behind but figured betting 2/3rd pot was best with so many players in the pot, a hand that is likey best and on a board where sets and two pairs hopefully won’t want to slowplay.

    On the turn

Two callers on the flop which is not good. My plan from here was to check behind if checked to me and reevaluate on the river. As it played I think the BB’s bet really stinks. His bet commits him to the pot with any hand he bets the turn with and he isn’t giving himself very much fold equity. Therefore I think this looks like a bet from a hand that really wants a call and is giving it the old two street instalment stackage solution. After all, if he gets a call here and the SB folds then on the river he is pushing $45 in to a $140 pot and if I call the turn I’m going have a hard time folding the river getting over 4-1.

I think the fold was good and I don’t intended this as a brag post or anything. It’s just after I saw the hands I was left thinking “good fold, good fold” but if I’d have been shown TT and Ax I’d probably have thought “you weak tight pansy”. I get far to results orientated sometimes!

Would you play it any different if: -

    a) SB pushed the turn, then the BB pushed the turn?
    b) SB checks, BB pushes?
    c) SB checks, BB bets $15?
