I watched the latest WSOP programmes which feature Mr 'iam a twat' Gold for near enough the enitre shows. And i have came to conclusion that they guy is a complete tosser! Chan was his 'mentor' through out and even he looked embarrassed by some of his antics at the table.

The number of times Gold would say things like - 'if you raise i will call' even when there are people still left in the hand still to decide. Then to top matters of he would then get dealt a big hand and everytime say 'i will show, i have a big hand, and i will have to call any allins, i havent lied once and iam tellong the truth again, i have a monster hand' then when a guy makes a move on him and he calls he comes out with the lines 'buddy i was trying to help you, i told you i had a monster'

I mean is this the way any poker player should act, let alone the new 'world crapshoot chamion'...

Iam so looking forward to the new series of high stakes poker, as there is rumours espn have managed to get Gold to appear!! This is going to be a show not to miss cause the guy is a living joke!

...and as for some of the calls he made - enough said!

At least raymer has a table presence & hatcham has the grace of a world champion... but gold?? hummmm.......

Completely independently of this thread and a few months ago I thought he reminded me of you Lee! I don't think he's as much as a cock as Raymer, and being able to keep the chiplead through about a thousand players is a pretty impressive acheivement.

Has anyone seen that hand yet where he showed the guy one of his cards on the river to imply he had caught a gutshot straight when he was bluffing?

I saw it yesterday lee. Still trying to work out why no one complained, it seemed there were some players he didnt want to knock out, the guy who was playing for charity, he told him that he had him beat and to fold.

oh and what a run on cards he had!! he couldnt stop knockin people out! think i have seen him lose two pots all in all. granted they dont show the smaller pots but the A5 vs AJ with the A53 flop was crazy.

also how bad was his high five with chan?! episode 20, quality!
