Bank it or Gambol?

Okay, so I'm fith in the betfair leader board this month. 5th place pays $300 which is not loads (first is $750, 10th is $30) but is a nice amount of muller for not doing anything. My options are to not play my betfair account anymore this month and see how it goes, or play it some more and see if I can't move up the money.

Last month I was second for a while then hit a down swing and disapeard of the bottom. The real problem is that I don't really want this effecting my play - I might start making -EV decisions just to spike a bit of variance just becuase there becomes some EV in playing big pots and generally playinig very fast, but it could also put me on tilt and start an averlanche.

What ya think? Bank it or gamboooooollllllll????

What are your numbers like for the month so far and where could you expect to end up if you stop now?

Do u have a link to the leaderboard? And what's the formula for ranking points?

Secondly it's only the 10th of the month, i'd carry on playing as you are and forget about the leaderboard.

well it will be updated at the end of the day so I may well have moved postion by then.

I should explain though, I tried entering in names for about 15mins and everytime it said 'user name already in use'. Eventually my imagination ran out and I just starting insulting the software...

I'm currenlty at 8.1 PT/BB100 after 4k hands. This is split over two skins and my betfair account has gone up while my Will hill one is about the same. So my actuall winnings on betfair will be much higer hence the postion on the board...

Winning the board is not possible over the course of a typcial month playing about 10k hands. It's all about short term varance.

Checking their formula from your leaderboard points it look like something crazy like 40 PTBB/100, stop playing and just play another skin/site for the rest of the month.

Yeah, and I just remembered that the Ritz Club has quite a good bonus offer this month if I put the hours in.

My mind has been made up. I will not play betfair for a bit and if i'm not in the top 5 on the final couple of days on the month I will play it again with some supper aggressive table hoping varaince inducing craziness to get the smash and grab I need to get the $$.
