    Default strategy questions...

Copied and pasted this from another forum, thought it might spark some debate...

So Ive been trying to get better at rebuys since most of the sats to larger tourneys are in rebuy format. Just had a couple situational questions about them...love to hear what you guys think

    1) 2 minutes left in the rebuy period, you have 12k in chips. Average stack is 14k. You check the BB with 9-10. Two limpers are ahead of you. Flop comes 8-7-A rainbow. Limper one moves all in for 9k and limper two moves all-in for 11k. If you call and lose, then add on, you will have 5k coming out of the break with blinds at 100/200. If you fold, and add on, youll have 14k coming out of the break. If you call and win, you will have 35k and be top 8 in chips with 100 people left. Do you call or fold?

    2) You have built up to 30k about half way through the rebuy period, you are 2nd in chips. Blinds are 50/100. Early position player moves all-in for 7k, middle position moves in for 8k, folds to you with 7-8 of spades. You are getting just under 3:1 on your money...do you call?

    3) There are 10 seats paid and 11 players left. All seats get a WSOP ME package. You have just 6 BB. Blinds are 5000/10000 and you have 62000. Early position short stack moves in for 65k. Middle position large stack with 200k moves all-in behind him. You have AA. Do you call? How does this change if there are 12 players left with 10 seats?

    1) I fold
    2) Depends if i'm feeling lucky, probably depends on where i'd be if i dropped to 22k
    3) Fold, if it's 11 left with 10 seats. If it's 12 players left with 10 seats up for grabs i probably fold like a pussy, unless 12th gets a lot of cash!

    1) Fold
    2) Looks like 2:1 not 3:1 and you're against multipe opponents. Can't see you having over 30% equity here, fold.
    3) Depends on the other stack sizes and their positions, probably fold.

    1. I think I would probably fold, but are these the sort of gambles you need to take to get anywhere in the rebuy events? Often you see people taking crazy risks on gutshots, etc and doubling/tripling up

    2. I'd fold

    3. With 11 left I'd probably fold and hope that 11th place goes out. With 12 left I might call, although I could well be a pussy and fold again

In situation 1 at the start of a rebuy its a call everytime.

However i feel the stack you have before the end of the rebuy is fine.
