I know i was slow playing the Aces however i was mixing my game up on this table and (without blowing my own trumpet) was owning and outplaying the table.
But anyway thoughts on this please.

How was he playing beforehand? Was he always raising preflop?
Im going to say he has AK and he thinks you have A lower Kicker. Thats the best case scenerio though he could have AQ and then your screwed![]()
Any time you aggressively play seven deuce off suit, the universe will bend the laws of short term probability in order to re-balance the long term probability abuses by those trashy players who only play premium hands
Why would i be screwed if he had AQ?? I have the better full boat AAAQQ vs QQQAAOriginally Posted by jglenny
Anyway he had be raising out of position with semi decent cards and he had been playing fairly tight.

You shove or at very least raise an amount that makes him get all his chips in. I DO NOT put him on Q-Q, which is the only hand beating you. If he has Q-Q i believe he raises pre-flop to get it heads-up PF. If he has Q-Q in this spot i go broke. He may have 10d-Jd for and OESFD but if he does then he only has 1 out so let him shove all his chips in. I'd be inclined to shove as he's down only has 1200 chips left and there's already c.1400 in the pot.
Was this a double shootout to the WSOP? And can't believe you re-deposited on Stars after your rants about the river(s)!!
As for slow playing the aces - a little dangerous in this spot as you are up against 2 opponents but you got away with it - i hope.

I know i know i was moaning about pokerstars.
However they have the best chance to get into the world series for this double shootout comp and the compeition is easy!!!!

Yep i was being thick and missed that![]()
I put him on AQ, he would have made a bigger raise with QQ maybe?

The only hand that beats you is QQ, and he could have many more hands than that. Since there was only one chance for him to raise preflop (as in everybody else flat called) you can only really limit his range to decent preflop raising hands that include an ace or a queen. In reality it doesn't really matter, the only way he could be ahead is by holding the two remaining Queens. You have to reraise, he seems like he's probably willing to get all his chips in.
Interesting. Firstly forgive me if Blindwillie's a she...
Everyone plays AK differently, and any one player can play the hand differently from one round to the next, and so they should. However, given that there's two folds all ready and that he has more chips than the original raiser, you'd expect the RR with AK. That said, he's small blind and so first to act from here on in so that might temper things.
I think the big RR on the flop suggests a Q in the hand. If he has AQ he must assume he's leading and so why scare you away with two cards for you to fail to catch up with his made house? In conclusion therefore, what the donk said! KQ, probably suited to trigger the call in the first place.
