Omaha hand, happened earlier tonite at $0.50/$1...
in mid position dealt AH AC KH KS
gets to me, UTG called, next to him folded, person before me minimum raised, so i raise pot. get 3 callers including UTG and raiser.
Flop comes JH QS 5C
UTG bets 75% of pot, original raiser folds, comes to me.. what's your play here?
im not much of an omaha player but i'd say raise the pot. you've got a pair of aces and the nut straight draw.
flat call with the option to fold if no improvement
In the end after a lot of thought i folded.
With 3 callers for a pretty large preflop raise i'd say with me with aces and kings, it was probable that one of them was calling with JJ or QQ, and obviouly now with trips i'd be approximately 70/30 underdog.
The reason i don't like the call prowler is that even if i hit an A or K, i'd also be very worried that i'd have called someone betting with an 10 K A who was trying to semi bluff the pot, or some idiot that was actually betting with only a straight draw(yes the standard of play is that poor lol) and now i'd be pot committed and 3/1 underdog.
Either way i didnt like the situation...

Looks like an easy fold to me, you have one pair. One of the most common mistakes I see whenever I play Omaha is overplaying big pairs unimproved on dangerous boards, usually by people who predominantly play holdem. UTG's bet isn't likely to be a bluff and top set would probably c/r given the pre-flop action but betting out would also be reasonable. Hands like TJJQ, TJQK and 9TJQ look most likely to me, possibly some slightly lower connectors with a big wrap like 789T but UTG that seems less likely IMO. I'm by no means an Omaha expert, I'm still learning but I think you should fold here with only a ten being a clean out and an ace or king could get you into trouble.
