I've been considering giving it a try, as I'm getting a little bored of online holdem... are there that many fishies playing then?
Does anyone else here play omaha?
I stuck to holdem, but recently it's getting beyond a joke with all the poor play about(My own fault for playing $0.25/0.50 tables i guess)... so thought i'd try omaha, and it's far more profitable for me, just play your cards and laugh at all the people playing like it's hold em.
Just wondered if anyone else shares my fondness for it.
Regards

Yeah, well in my care there are(I play at pokerstars)... plus its pot limit so it's rare that idiots bet like hell before the flop, and if they do it's usually with not a lot (suited ace etc).. i'm making 3 times more than i did on hold em.
So just basically play your cards and you'll win, i've barely had to bluff yet, which is a good thing, as most people call anything anyway.
Make sure you are sufficently bankrolled. The swings in PLO are huge...well, they were for me anyway.
For a while I played PLO 100 as my main game when I had a rough time with holdem. In the end I was glad to walk back into holdem as the varience seemed to be a lot lower.
In hindsight though, I really wansn't very good at PLO which probably didn't help.
Also, you will need to know how to play deep at the lower limits. It was not uncommon to have two or three players sitting there with 5 or 6 buyins.
