thanks guys, all valid points taken on board.....seems like we're all pretty much in agreement, the reason i asked was because just lately there seems to be such an influx of newbies and learners in poker, that the goalposts seemed to have moved a bit in regard to position, ie they call/raise with anything in any position and more often than not steal a pot with rubbish you could never put them on or i find myself folding good cards due to massive raises only to find they were way behind preflop (since when has j-9o been any value), lower priced mtts are almost impossible to play until half the entries are out! and it just seems everyone plays anything at all just in case they make a hand on the river!
You can bluff with any 2 cards though Mango, the method of playing it you describe makes your hand pretty much irrelevant.
id see the flop atleast
Higher then 2 ahh 1..damn
There's 8/9 players acting after you pre-flop on a full table that you need to consider. UTG is a bad place to be playing a hand that's easily dominated you rarely know where you are post-flop.Originally Posted by Fader
